ARTICLE BY MIHALI AND MARINA
Are you wondering what the art work is on the glass wall of the room near Miss Felicity’s and Miss Darlene’s office? Do you know what room this is and who uses it?
This room is used by Outreach staff when they are at Henbury. It was jokingly named the Fishbowl by Mr Nim. The DHS class were looking for a project which they could do for their Stage 1 English Modified course. This had to be inspired by their study of the novel Blueback by Tim Winton.
The word Fishbowl started them thinking. They asked Miss Darlene for help and got permission from Miss Carolyn to decorate the walls. Originally they were going to use big marine creatures.
As time went on, only Marina and Mihali remained in the course. They had to change their plans and do a smaller project. They found pictures of smaller sea creatures and got some plants from the Henbury gardens. They laminated these and made them so they looked the same from either side of the wall. The outer figure was in the shape of a Fishbowl. The headings pay respect to the traditional owners of the land that Henbury is built on.
Mihali and Marina had a lot of fun learning to do this project and communicating with everyone and they would like to thank Miss Darlene and Miss Carolyn.
How about you have a look at the Fishbowl?

GREEN 2 BOYS
In Term 4 Green 2 Boys had some exciting adventures, the boys spent a lot of time practicing their social skills. This term we packed punches at the Margy’s Gym getting fit and agile. In the classroom we continued with our daily counting, alphabet sounds and days of the week routine, which the boys love and know very well. In the kitchen we cooked up a storm.
Students also participated in other exciting programs such as Basketball, bucket Drumming and Choir.
We have fun on our weekly visit to the farm when we feed the chicken, water the plants and make sure we keep those pesky weeds under control.
Our Phys Ed in lots of riding (weather permitting) also water safety and swimming lessons are coming along and lots of fun, everyone is relaxed and safe in the pool.
On community access we have a real fun time with Green 1, doing lots of fun activities like going to check out the shopping centers, special shows like the 360 degrees cinema and Lunch on the Wharf among many other places we hung out.
WELL DONE JULIO
We are extremely proud of student Julio Abdullah, whose photo was chosen by Lauren Moss MLA for her Christmas card this year. Lauren chose the photograph on her recent visit to Henbury School for our annual Art Exhibition. Well done Julio!
