GREEN 1
We have had a good Term in Green 1.
We have been working hard on our goals. One of our class goals is to attend Zumba each week. It is a favourite session of many, with some of our students even having a turn out the front! It has been good to see the weekly progress in remembering and watching the moves. It is also a fun way to keep fit!
In maths we have been learning skills related to cooking. We have been learning to identify numbers and fractions so we can find them on measuring utensils. We have also worked on making groups, sequencing numbers and finding the number before and after.
It has been lots of fun heading out in the community to get active and play. We have been going to Anula Park. It is a great spot with lots of shade, a variety of equipment and an oval to play tip!
Most afternoons we take some time to reflect on the day. We talk about what we have done, our favourite activity of the day and some of the things we may have learnt or practised.
BLUE 4 NEWSLETTER
Wow, what a busy year and we are already in week 10, Term 3!! We have been working very hard in the classroom and the wider community.

When the class went shopping to Coles on a Monday, we collected the Coles Mini Collectables. We are also still receiving Cole’s minis from generous members of the community, staff members and some students who want to do swaps.
Students have made a class shop and are role playing being a customer or a cashier. Students are gaining a lot of life skills from this learning activity. Each item has a price that are attached with Velcro to the individual item. When the student’s progress through their understanding of Money maths, the prices will change.

A few students from Blue 4 also enjoy doing painting on a Thursday. Here are the girls enjoying participating in painting with Mitch.
GARDEN CREW TERM 3
This year the Garden Crew was given a facelift, new screen printed uniforms and the trailer logo to put it out there when we are in business.
In Term 2 and 3 the Garden Crew continued the great work of cleaning, revamping and general maintenance at various gardens in and around the Darwin area.
Julio, Hugo, Geoff and Scott all worked extremely hard on and off the job. They have learned new ways of carrying their work, and developing new skills.
These boys are a credit to Henbury and their teachers, each week brings new challenges and the building of their confidence.
