Principal’s Report

Parents/Carers

The NT Minister for Education has announced that schools will remain open for Term 2 and all children are expected to attend school on day one, Monday 20 April, 2020.

Exceptions will be made for parents and carers who decide to self-isolate in Term 2. Henbury School will provide work for students who will be staying at home with their families. Could you please contact the school before COB this Friday the 17 April if you intend to keep your child/ren home in Term 2? This will enable us to make plans to have work packs ready for you to collect in the first week of Term 2.

SRA@H will operate as normal from the beginning of the term. Please contact Sam if you require a spot in this program.

Henbury middle school outreach classes will continue to attend Henbury campus until advised otherwise. Senior outreach classes will remain on their campuses. Our work training and community access programs will remain suspended until further notice. VETiS courses are suspended until the 27 April. We will notify families when these will resume.

For the continued safety of all students and staff, parents and visitors will continue to have restricted access to the school grounds.

If your child/ren are sick or have any flu like symptoms they are required to stay at home until they are better. If you or any of your family members are unwell please call, do not come into the office.

We will continue to follow social distancing rules where possible and perform extra cleaning and hygiene routines at school. Spending time with your child/ren to wash their hands correctly is extremely important and we encourage you to do this at every opportunity. We have also been practicing different ways to greet each other.

Henbury Café Henbury Op Shop

Henbury on Aralia café will remain closed until further notice. Henbury Op Shop will re-open to the public on Monday 20 April. All donations welcome.
