PRINCIPALS REPORT
Dear Parents/Carers
Another year has come to an end and what a year it was! Congratulations on surviving 2021 with us all. With all its challenges we still had so much to celebrate this year. A true highlight for me was the Year 12 graduation at the Hilton Hotel. I am so proud of each of our graduates and the pathways they will be following in 2022. We will miss you all dearly and hope you drop in and say hello. We love to share in your continued journey as active citizens of our community.
Reports and Student Classes 2022
Semester reports, T/EAP reviews and 2021 attendance records were sent home with your child in a sealed envelope on Friday 16 December. If you do not receive this please contact the front office on 89977077 or email henbury.admin@ntschools.net .
Included in the envelope was a letter with the names of your child’s teachers and classmates for 2022. Where possible, students who are moving classes and/or have changes in staff for 2022 have been visiting their new classes and staff over the last two weeks. Some students who have been identified as requiring more time to transition have been given this opportunity with an individual transition timetable throughout Term Four. We hope this makes for a smoother transition back to school in 2022.
Presentation Assembly
The presentation Assembly on Tuesday was recognition of the marvellous work our students do. Special recognition must go to the Blue 1&2 and NMS students for a fantastically choreographed dance routine. All performances were very entertaining and I thank all that were involved. Thank you to the Student Commissioners who hosted the Assembly, you should be proud of what you did. Thank you to Amanda for your organisation of the Student Commissioners.
Congratulations to the students below on receiving the following awards:
Australia Day Student Citizenship Award

Carter is an exceptional young man who is always courteous and thinking of others. Cater goes out of his way to include students from across the school, making them feel welcome and checking in on their wellbeing.
Carter is a hard worker both on campus and during work experience. As an integral part of our HOA precinct, Carter can always be relied upon showing responsibility and initiative. Cater is a well deserving recipient of the Australia Day Award.

ENTERPRISE ED
In 2021, the enterprise ed classes and horticulture skillsets groups continued to build and grow the greenhouse area. The students worked hard in sometimes uncomfortable weather conditions. Projects completed recently include, converting an old BBQ into a much-needed washstand, and the building of a deck. Following safe work practices, the students enthusiastically and confidently used power tools to successfully create the projects. We began a beautiful mural which we will complete next year. Our plants are healthy and thriving and have sold well at HOA. We would like to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of the wonderful, Jack Parker.

He was instrumental in creating the space that it is today. We look forward to officially naming the garden after Jack in 2022.
