SANDERSON MIDDLE SCHOOL
We have had a huge semester over here at SMS outreach. All students have joined in with a Sanderson Middle mainstream elective class this year, including Art and P.E. Shianne and Camillia have been busy representing SMS Stars in Cricket and working at the Henbury School Op Shop on Fridays.
Some of our lucky boys got to attend the Clontarf Football Camp down to Katherine recently. Dion managed to get the goal that got the team into the finals! We continue to go on exciting community access excursions, including a Clean Up Australia Day event, where we picked up over 150 pieces of rubbish from East Point.

Purple 3
This term Purple 3 went on an excursion to the Jingili Water Gardens.
We went especially for the opening of the new accessible playground!
We had lots of fun exploring the park, rolling down the hills, listening to Aiko sing, playing on the playground, and enjoying our lunch under the shade of the trees.
We got to look at some great artwork by artists from The Free Space Studio, we got to pat LOTS of friendly dogs. We even saw some police officers and their horses.
Also, the new accessible playground was great, but more exciting was meeting all the puppies!
We had a great day!

HELLO FROM YELLOW 5 MOB!
Greetings from Yellow 5! This year we welcomed back Keanu, Aidan, Roanin, Jayden and Paddy. Callum and Zac are our newest and youngest members, they have been a wonderful addition to the class.
Yellow 5 students have had a productive semester working on their Modified Northern Territory Certificate of Education and Training Stage One and Two programs. Students are completing tasks in English, Mathematics, Health and Wellbeing, Personal Learning Program and Cross Disciplinary.
Our students are enrolled in Work Skill courses, work training, MNTCET Skill Set and work experience programs. These programs have promoted and encouraged independence and confidence.
Yellow 5 students enjoy listening to tunes when producing beautiful art pieces and cooking delicious meals from scratch. We have some future artists and chefs in our midst’s!

HENBURY WOODWORK NEWS
This semester in Woodwork we have made heaps of cool projects! Made almost entirely from recycled timber pallets and donated wood our projects are sustainably sourced, helping the environment and keeping our costs down.
Using Structured Teaching methods my High Support classes have put together some decorative wooden fish. These are available to purchase at HOA, and at our Father’s Day stall next term.
Meanwhile my Moderate Support classes have constructed toolboxes, cute toy animals, and crazy cars.
And finally my Senior low support guys have been busy making model vehicles, tables and playing with the new laser engraver!
Some independent, some hand over hand- but all very proud students with some excellent finished projects.
