ACTING PRINCIPAL’S REPORT
Dear Parents/Carers
Another year has come to an end and what a year it was! There was so much to celebrate about our wonderful community. A true highlight for me was the Best Last FriYAY ever and ACHPER come and try day, organised by our amazing Learning Commissioners and led by teachers Amanda Thomas and Rowan Barrow. Every student was included and enjoyed the many activities on offer.
Reports and Student Classes 2023
Semester reports, T/EAP reviews and 2022 attendance records were sent home with your child in a sealed envelope on Tuesday 13th December. If you do not receive this please contact the front office on 89977077 or email henbury.admin@education.nt.gov.au
Included in the envelope was a letter with the names of your child’s teachers and classmates for 2023. Where possible, students who are moving classes and/or have changes in staff for 2023 have had the opportunity to visit their new classes and staff. Some students who have been identified as requiring more time to transition have been given this opportunity with an individual transition timetable throughout Term Four. We hope this makes for a smoother transition back to school in 2023.
Presentation Assembly
The presentation Assembly on Tuesday was recognition of the incredible work our students do. All performances were very entertaining, and I thank all that were involved. Thank you to the Learning Commissioners who hosted the Assembly impeccably, as always. Thank you to Amanda Thomas for your continued passion for the NTLC.
Congratulations to the students below on receiving the following awards:

HENBURY INCLUSION TRIATHLON
Last Thursday, 37 Henbury students participated in the school’s first ever Inclusion Triathlon. Through a collaboration with Lucy Berk and the Triathlon Northern Territory crew, students completed a swim, cycle or run as part of a relay team. A huge thanks to Variety for the $4000 grant to repair all the Henbury school bikes/trikes by Blue Cycles team. Massive thanks to staff and Triathlon volunteers for ensuring a safe race! Huge achievement for our happy triathletes. The school also received a new tandem bike with the help of a Variety - the Children’s Charity NT grant of $3000 by Triathlon NT. Thank you to everyone involved!

A big thank you to all staff who helped organise the night to make it a great success. Thank you also to staff and students who fundraised during the year to keep the cost down.
We wish all our graduates all the best for the future.
